Grey vs. Gray

February 13, 2009

This was a simple experiment, granted I didn’t know it as such at first. All I wanted was gray fingernail polish. I couldn’t find it anywhere on the internet so I decided to make it.

Plus, I thought, making it myself would let me decide how gray it actually was. Easy.

Seems easy…

As it turns out, though I’d scoured the isles at Target to find the blackest black, the one I’d decided to use actually had a blue base.

The result was something I would refer to as “Carolina blue” – a light blue that I haven’t worn on my nails since grade school. Bummer. Guess it wasn’t that easy.
